a quick and dirty way to install a subversion server

at server :

$ sudo su
$ apt-get install subversion
$ svnadmin create /media/data/subversion
$ svnserve -d -r /media/data/subversion
$ svn import foldername file:///media/data/subversion/testproject -m “Initial import”
$ cd /media/data/subversion/conf
$ vi svnserve.conf

password-db = passwd
realm = myrealm
anon-access = none
auth-access = write

save and exit

$ vi passwd

test = rahasiatest

save and exit

test from client :
$ svn –username=test list svn://

Pastikan port 3690 tidak diblok oleh firewall. To run the service everytime the computer start put this in /etc/rc.local :

/usr/bin/svnserve -d -r /media/data/subversion
